The Cross of Jesus: A Symbol of Love and Redemption

The Cross of Jesus: A Symbol of Love and Redemption

The #cross stands at the center of the Christian #faith. It’s more than just a symbol—it’s the place where God’s love and justice met for our sake. In John 19:30, as Jesus hung on the cross, He declared, “It is finished.” With those words, He completed the work of #salvation, taking upon Himself the weight of our sin, shame, and #brokenness.
The cross reminds us that God’s love is sacrificial. Romans 5:8 says, “But God commends his own love toward us, in that while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.” Jesus didn’t wait for us to get our act together. He met us at our worst and offered His very best—His life.
When we look at the cross, we see forgiveness. No matter our past, Jesus’ sacrifice is enough to cover every failure. The cross calls us to lay down our burdens, trust in His grace, and walk in newness of life.
Today, reflect on the cross. Remember that you are deeply loved, completely forgiven, and called to share that same love with others. Let the cross be your anchor in times of trouble and your hope for every tomorrow.
